Nick was born and grew up on the sunny shores of Dubai. Being British he was exiled to a boarding school in the old country when he was old enough to work out he lived in an incredibly fun place. Nevertheless, he retuned to Dubai several times a year and still calls the old place home (Even though he doesn’t live there, and neither does his family who conveniently moved to Australia)

He has travelled quite a lot for someone his age, circling the globe twice, he has however never been to Scotland. Afterreadingpolitics & international relations at the University of Manchester, he now lives somewhere near Mclaren, and does mysterious things.

Nick was first drawn into the weird world of Formula 1 in 1992 as a young child fascinated by speed it was only natural, and the man with the great moustache was an early hero. This support transferred to Williams after he retired, however the dislike of McLaren continued, after the evil Senna man suddenly became a hero when he jumped into a Williams in 94. At some point along the line, most likely around the time when Hill quit the team and DC moved to McLaren, Nicks support went that way too.

This may have been partly due to their rise as the main challengers to the annoying German fellow who wouldn’t stop winning races. Nick drifted from the sport in the early years of the millennia, partly due to said red car driver and partly due to not wishing to suffer races with no English commentary. As a result of this suffering he is perhaps more tolerant of commentators than others who have not had to suffer for long periods. However this does not mean he doesn’t enjoy complaining, and actively fears the day when there are commentators he likes as their will no way of shouting ‘I could do a better job than you’ at the television.

In any case, Nick returned to formula one some point around the time Alonso stated winning (Ed:convenient) And was more than happy to see him retire and has been enjoying F1 ever since.
